ST PETERSBURG - shopping mall + office block

In 2002, IHI acquired the then Nevsky Palace Hotel which was the leading Hotel in the city in Nevsky Prospekt. Nevsky Prospekt is St Petersburg’s main avenue and one of the best-known streets in Russia. Subsequently the Hotel was renamed as Corinthia St Petersburg. In conjunction with this property IHI acquired another two adjacent properties, one on each side of the Hotel. IHI decided to develop one of these properties into an extension of the hotel with an additional 105 rooms and the largest Conference Centre of the City, whilst the other property located at Nevsky Prospekt 55, also adjacent to the Hotel, was demolished and rebuilt as an independent Commercial Centre branded as Nevsky Plaza.
The Nevsky Plaza commands an impressive facade stretching 33 metres along Nevsky Prospekt with eight stories of commercial premises, all surrounding an internal atrium and overlooking Nevsky Prospekt. The first two levels, cover a total net leasable area of 2,256 square metres and are allocated for retail and related activities forming a Plaza leading to the Business Centre offering 7402 m2 of net office areas on the third to the seventh floor.
